On Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2021 at Capers Emporium we engaged in lots of fun to help a very serious cause – WillowTree of Posey County.
Those who made a donation to Willow Tree of Posey County (a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose formal name is Posey County Domestic Violence Task Force Incorporated) came to Capers and enjoyed a wide range of snacks and desserts that the staff at Capers creates that day using our favorite kitchen gadgets and tools. We did a show and tell all about how we created each one. Attendees also received a 10% on their purchases at Capers Emporium the day of the event. Their kindness and generosity and donations will help increase advocacy support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, improve and expand services and programs vital to the mission of WillowTree of Posey County, and help find innovative solutions for safe emergency and permanent housing for those in crisis.
Willow Tree of Posey County provides advocacy and assistance to those affected by domestic and sexual violence, and strives to interrupt the cycle of violence through outreach and education. It was founded in 2000 when a local domestic violence survivor spoke out about her experience and the need for direct services for victims in our community.
