Can you make this pretty food?
I came up with an idea for a side dish that I was confident would taste scrumptious. I started with zucchini that I thinly sliced lengthwise with the slicer dicer and seasoned with a little oil, kosher salt and pepper.
I grilled the strips on the gas grill. That was when I realized that they were so thin that the ends were getting a little charred.
Undeterred, I proceeded with my plan, slathering the grilled zucchini slices with the new Philadelphia brand Italian-flavored cream cheese (which comes in a tub).mI rolled the messy little things into spirals, then secured them with a toothpick.
I was correct. They taste fabulous. But I have a hard time saying they are pretty. I haven’t given up, however. If you have an idea for how to make this pretty, email it to me at marybeth@prettyfood.com. The person with the best suggestion will receive a mini Cuisinart food processor.
