It was a lovely sight to wake up to. Michele set a sunny, beautiful breakfast table for Derby weekend.
Michele is Italian through and through and her house reflects it, as well as many of her choices of tableware. This was the table she set for the first morning of our Kentucky Derby weekend breakfast. (Note the cute little horseshoes scattered around the table? A subtle, but appropriate, touch.) No, it wasn’t dark when we got up for breakfast. She wisely set the table the night before so it would be ready for even the earliest risers. No one likes to scramble around to set a table before adequate caffeine has been consumed.
Beautiful Tuscan shades with an exquisite sunflower napkin ring. I also loved the layering. The beautiful blue tablecloth with the gold placemats on top really enhanced the table well beyond placemats alone. (Note to self: I need to use tablecloths more.)
A+, Michele! Great job on the table.
