When Michael’s extended family came for a long weekend, we cooked up a storm for the thirteen of us. On the one day we took a break from the kitchen and grill and had Chinese food delivered, I didn’t want it to feel like I was falling down on my hostess job, so I pulled out my Chinese plates and bowls and set a gorgeous table that had everyone “oohing” and “ahing” before the food even arrived. I quickly transferred the exquisitely prepared Asian food to our bowls and platters and we had a feast!
If you think Chinese takeout means curling up on the couch sad and lonely with strange little white boxes, get that image out of your mind. It can serve as the foundation for a delightful meal for a crowd. It’s all about the presentation.
