Up the street from me is an Italian restaurant called Italiano’s. The chefs there make the most incredible chicken piccata I’ve ever had. I place my order and start cooking my low-carb pasta. I always order double sauce/no pasta and substitute my own. They send along their breadsticks, which I serve if I’m having people for dinner who don’t count carbs. Their salad has a wonderful Caesar dressing with it, so I throw the salad into a big stainless steel bowl and toss it in their dressing, then parcel it into the individual salad bowls. In no time at all I’m ready to serve dinner that is beautiful to look at, wonderful to taste, and almost no trouble at all to pull together. Yum.
Since I already had the ingredients for Cucumber Sandwiches, I put a few together while waiting for time to pickup the rest of the meal. They added a homecooked dimension to the meal.
Their cooking (for the most part), my tableware. It’s a marriage made in heaven.
