Ingredients:
- Flour tortillas (I use low carb)
- Olive Oil
- Shredded Italian hard cheese (parmesan, asiago, etc.)
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings of your choice
- Fresh basil (for both garnish and flavor)
- Pizza sauce
- Italian Seasonings
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place your tortillas on a baking sheet. Brush on a thin cost of olive oil, then sprinkle on the grated Italian cheese all over the top of the tortilla. Don’t do it too thick. These are supposed to be thin when they’re done and you want to allow the crust to get crisp.
Taste your pizza sauce. If necessary, add Italian seasonings and even a little sweetener, if you like something like that.
Put dollops of sauce all over each pizza, then spread it on with a brush or a spoon.
Start adding your toppings on top. I added Italian sausage and pepperoni, then decided maybe a little red onion would be good.
If you’re putting on an uncooked vegetable, be sure you slice it thinly. Top with more cheese.
Cut basil into thin strips. Don’t put it on yet!
Bake in a preheated oven for about 7 minutes, or until the cheese is brown and the bottom is crisp. Scatter the fresh basil on top of the cooked pizza.
