I suppose I could make this beef roulade (fancy term for “roll”) myself, but since Whole Foods had already gone to all the trouble, why should I? Skirt steak rolled with provolone cheese and thin little spears of asparagus — and all I had to do was bake it at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes and eat it!Since the roulade contained meat, cheese, and a vegetable, I didn’t need to add much to turn it into a lovely “fit for company” meal. I added thin slices of an heirloom tomato and some sweet mini peppers. A sprig of basil to top each plate, and I was done!
