Call in your order for a pound or two of gyros meat (they even have chicken gyros meat these days) with their special yogurt cucumber sauce. Tell them to hold the pita bread.
You’ll need:
- low carb tortillas
- arugula or lettuce
- cherry tomatoes
Set your table. Get your drinks ready. Cut your cherry tomatoes in half. Gather your clean arugula or lettuce (or even spinach!). Either quickly throw the low carb tortillas on your gas burner, holding with tongs (and by quickly, I mean QUICKLY — we’re talking seconds!) or warm them in a nonstick skillet or in the microwave. If you warm them in the microwave, wrap them in a damp paper towel.
Spread the cucumber sauce on the tortillas. Top with gyros meat, tomatoes, greens. You’re ready to eat — and you have all the food groups represented (even fruit, since tomatoes are a fruit!).
