Caramel Ice Cream

Caramel Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 batch of Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream Batter
  • 3 Tbsp. Smucker’s sugar-free caramel ice cream topping
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped pecans, toasted and cooled

Directions:

Prepare the ice cream batter following the instructions on the Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream recipe page. Pour into your ice cream freezer and begin to freeze as directed, but five minutes before the ice cream should be fully frozen, add the pecans. Right after that, drop spoonfuls of the caramel topping into the running ice cream freezer so that it creates swirls.

Don’t let the ice cream freezer go too long after you add the caramel topping. If you do, it will mix it so much that there won’t be any visible swirls.

Garnish with more of the toasted pecans and a little fresh mint.

To make Turtle ice cream, follow the above instructions, but also add one or two tablespoons of Smucker’s sugar-free chocolate ice cream topping.
